David was born and raised in Black Mountain, NC. He holds degrees from Davidson College in NC, Columbia Seminary in Atlanta, a doctorate from McCormick Seminary in Chicago and a Masters in Organizational Development from Case-Western University in Cleveland. David has served the Church in Ghana, West Africa, Georgia and Florida, having recently spent 12 years as the founding pastor of a new church in suburban Tampa. He is delighted to be married to Merry Lynn, a dance professor at the University of South Florida, and has two brilliant and talented children, Graham and Lillie. They have a sweet dog, Croix, who barks too much. Of his work here, David says, "It is nothing short of holy to be with folks who strive earnestly to follow Jesus and love one another, and who have such a rich history of love, compassion and inclusion in this community. And, besides, there is no cooler town in Florida than Dunedin."
Born in Winston-Salem, NC, Stephen had his musical training at the NC School of the Arts, Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC, Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC, and at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. He has been active in the Presbyterian Association of Musicians and the American Guild of Organists his entire career, holding offices in each. His 10 year tenure working in textiles honed his office skills as well.
Donna Dayock - Church Administrator – She was born in New York City and raised in Dallas, Texas. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education – Married 30 years to Chris with 2 children Kaitlin and Justin. She has worked as a Preschool Director and came to First Church in 2005.
Joe Nixon is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in New York and Florida. After retiring as the Westchester District Finance Manager for the US Postal Service in 2010, he and his wife Miriam, moved to Dunedin from NYC.
Joe specializes in assisting not-for-profit organizations manage their finances. Besides his role at First Presbyterian Church Dunedin, he has been doing similar work at the Presbytery of Tampa Bay for the past four years.
He looks forward to serving the members of FPC Dunedin and supporting the Session and the Pastor.
Jorge was born and raised in central New Jersey. There he served as the lead pianist for his church. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Clearwater Christian College where he continued his ministry as a vocalist and worship leader.
Jorge is currently working on his doctorate at the University of Florida. In addition to music ministry, Jorge has served as an educator for ten years.
Jorge has been the Worship Leader at FPC Dunedin since 2015.
