MUSIC AT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

A quality music ministry became an integral part of our spiritual tradition through generous gifts.  A Pilcher pipe organ was donated in 1928 and served well until it was replaced in 1982 with a majestic 19 rank Reuter pipe organ which serves the church today.  A series of organ recitals celebrated the 30th anniversary of the organ.  Our sanctuary often hosts programs of touring college choirs and various musical groups in the area.

HAVE CHILDREN? A professionally staffed nursery is available for children age 3 and younger off the courtyard next to the Highlander Room. Coloring pages for children to use in worship are also available. Contact an usher for information on both. During the 10:30 a.m. service, children through 5th grade are invited to come forward during the Children’s Lesson in worship and leave afterward for their class.

Fellowship Hour

Following the service each Sunday church committees take turns sponsoring a Fellowship Hour.  A great opportunity to come together and enjoy delicous snacks and appetizerswhile catching up with old friends and making new ones.  The location is Hager Hall and starts at 11:30AM.
